India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: India Post, the country’s largest postal network service, has, in a notification, alerted recruitment of 44,228 vacancies for the position of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS).

Important Dates:

• Application starts 15th July.
• Application ends 5th August.

Age limit:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years
• Age relaxation as per Notification (Read Notification).

Application Fee:

• General– 100
• Fee: Rs. 100 (Rupees one hundred only)
• Exemptions: No fee for female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants.

Educational Qualification:

• Applicants must have successfully passed the 10th standard (Secondary School Examination) with passing marks in both Mathematics and English. This examination should be conducted by any recognized Board of School Education, as recognized by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories in India.
• Applicants must have studied the local language up to at least the 10th standard. This requirement ensures that the candidate is proficient in the regional language, enabling effective communication and service within the community they will serve. The local language must have been studied at a recognized board.

Steps to Apply:

• Visit India Post’s official website and register yourself here – www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
• You will need a mobile number and email ID to register with a password
• You will then need to pay an application fee to complete the online registration
• Once paid, you can apply online by selecting your choice from the Division and Exercise options.
• You will need to upload a photograph and digital signature before submitting the application as per the given format and size.
• You must also choose the Divisional Head of the division you’re applying, who will verify your documents in the later stage of recruitment.
