Position: Agriculture Field Operator (AFO)
Number of Positions: Two (02)
Remuneration: Rs. 18,000/- per month (consolidated)
Job Type: Temporary, co-terminus with the project
Essential Qualifications:
- Matric with +2 Vocational/Diploma in Agriculture or a related subject
OR - Matric with two (02) years of working experience in an agricultural field from a reputed organization
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge in isolation, purification, rearing, characterization of rice pests/pathogens/BCAs, field screening, maintenance, and data recording.
Age Limit:
- Minimum 18 years and Maximum 50 years (as of the interview date).
- Age relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Project Duration:
- Up to 31.03.2026 or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

- Collection of disease, insect, and nematode samples
- Isolation of pathogen pure cultures
- Field screening
- Data recording and entry
Terms & Conditions:
- This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The service of the appointed candidate will terminate automatically after the project ends or the specified period, whichever comes first. There is no right for absorption into NRRI/ICAR.
- Eligible candidates must bring a recent passport-size photograph, original educational certificates (from matriculation onwards), experience certificates, and a set of photocopies to the walk-in interview. The biodata form can be downloaded from the website and should be duly filled and submitted during certificate verification.
- The Director, ICAR-NRRI, reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions and cancel the recruitment process. The Director’s decision is final and binding in all respects.
- No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
- If employed, candidates must bring a no-objection certificate from their current employer to the interview.
- No candidates will be entertained after 10:00 AM.
